A Deep Dark Hole I Can’t Ignore

There’s a deep dark hole in my network,

incautiously consuming my peers

Is it somewhat a scary, creepy bug?

Is it likely a sneaky, crawling beast?

or probably a deadly phantom in a flash?

I sincerely wanna help in fixing it

Yet I have only one pair of swabbing hands

Right now I am feeling so exhausted;

All I ask is a breather or two,

Then we could have a fresh start once and for all.

Thus, be still, and keenly watchful,

You just might not know,

You are discreetly harboring it inside of you;

Promise me, dear, you will take much care;

This is the only way we can save each other.

Got in a hill of a muddle,
and they’re oh so hard to handle;
See my sticky beads of grease?
Com’ on let out a banter!
How dare you stare at me like an ogre!

I know, I know I should be,
What I shouldn’t be today;
It’s just that I’m loathing this,
I feel scared and restless,
Can’t eat well and sleep.

Have forgotten my things
Can’t bear these damned loads of lumber
Numbing, clogging, pushing,
meddling me crazy.

Call me a thousand bad names
But you can’t always fool me
I know I ought to do this
A month or three early

I shouldn’t have felt this way,
I shouldn’t be having this rueful query,
“Will I just be a dum-dum body?
amidst this cramming insanity?”

My Deafening Egoic Self

My Deafening Egoic Self

By Josh Balerite Acol

my deafening egoic self

Rowdy rumbling echos

“You are a weakling…”

“You are ordinary”,

“No I am not!”

“Soon I will win!”

Life goes on, and on,

Into an endless pursuit,

You’ll never know why,

Or who you really are,

Unless you try.

So what for now?

Be content with what you got? or

Ignore everything that sparks?

And finally, kick your butt!

to face your doubts.

Should have done that

a long time ago

But isn’t it possible,

just now?

Isn’t every day a fresh new start?

Then, better do it pronto!

Or you’ll have a lifetime

grieving over it,

Crazily lamenting

the passing of time.

What matters most,

is being true to yourself.

Be bold.  Take risks.

It’s now,

Or never.

Defeat Stress in 20 Remarkable Ways

We always get the hang of it, that all things that make us feel awful and upset are stress. In addition, it is also the hardest time killer and even the talk of the town as the greatest “number one killer disease”.  Do you know why dear Soul? But don’t you know that not all stress is destructive?

Why wake up stressing, when waking up is a blessing. -Unknown Click To Tweet

Which of which is and do you know how to defeat stress in 20 remarkable ways?

First things first. I want to upskill you on some terms here about stress.

For all you know, things that cause stress are stressors.

This leads us to two kinds of stress:

1. Positive Stress, or the stress that affects you beneficially which is called Eustress.  This term is coined by a famous endocrinologist named Dr. Hans Selye, one of the pioneering scientists in the study of stress.

  •  gives an inspiring feeling

  • boosts our performance

  • short-lived or a temporary encounter

  • discerned as within our surviving ability to cope

  • feels thrilling or stimulating

2. Negative Stress or Distress is the one that gives harmful effects on your person.

  • weakens your bodily system

  • it is outside our surviving capability

  • maybe momentary or permanent

  • causes fear and worry

  • leads to the mental, physical, and behavioral adaptation to stressors

If you are currently undergoing the following positive stressors, fear not as not everybody shows the same reactions to varied situations. As for the following you may experience stress but only to a certain degree and may also cause enhancing actions:

1. Moving to a new home
2. Going on a vacation
3. Being pregnant
4. Having a promotion at work
5. Studying a new skill or learning online a new course
6. To join in marriage
7. Retiring from work

If you are experiencing one or two at the same time as the following symptoms, then, let’s face it, my dear old Soul, you ARE really, truly negatively stressed!

1. Feeling anxious due to some legal problem
2. Restless
3. Always up and about
4. Going and walking in circles
5. Feeling itchy in some parts of your skin and body
6. Feeling a heavy head, like having a severe migraine
7. Having high blood pressure
8. Sleepless nights or having insomnia often
9. “Stress eating” or overeating, called binging
10. The reverse of the above which is unable to eat due to overthinking
11. Having a painful stomach
12. Loose bowel movements
13. Cannot focus on your work
14. Fast heartbeat leading to hypo or hyperthyroidism
15. Indulging in sweets too often

The World Health Organization has recently issued a study about chronic stress which can lead to anxiety and depression.  This ailment is the primary problem in almost all parts of the world, and which can lead to an incurable disease, sudden death like cardiovascular attack due to high blood pressure.

I don’t know about you dear Soul, but, years ago, I have been one of the victims of this killer disease.

Cupid, the Roman God of love hit my heart with his famous arrow and paired with someone whom I think of as somebody who will be my “forever after”.  I devoted to him mostly 100% of my time, and through this process, haven’t noticed I keep forgetting to take care of myself. The moment I wake up each morning, he is the one occupying my mind first, and before I retire to bed at night, he is the last one on my mind.

Little did I know that one of those days are the last moments I will be hearing from him, as he suddenly vanished from my sight.

Because of this very sad fate, I find it hard to accept and adjust to it.

Unknowingly at first, I started experiencing itchiness all over my hands up to my fingertips.

Due to discomfort, I kept scratching and scratching until my skin hurts, tears, and small round watery blisters start forming. It is a good feeling to do the scratching all over you know, (oh yeah).

Thereafter, the blisters became painful wounds as the skin started to bleed due to my scratching.

Soon, I realized I am having watery, bleeding blisters all over which feels so painful that I have a hard time doing my daily tasks.

I am forced then to have a consultation with a Dermatologist, and he diagnosed me as suffering from Nummular Eczema.

defeat stress in 20 remarkable ways
Nummular Eczema / Nummular Dermatitis / Discoid Eczema

It is a skin disease originating from an unknown cause. Although it is not contagious, the person suffering from it may acquire bodily infections due to the exposed wounds caused by constant scratching, which may lead to death if untreated early.

Moreover, this skin disease is a very rare one, which is aside from hereditary reasons, some people are going through it who are constantly under pressure and stress.

My doctor is advising me to use an ointment for me to apply on the areas of my skin when I am enduring it, with accompanying oral antihistamines to induce me to sleep.

Because of this gloomy incident, I began to distance myself away from those who happen to admire and like me as I was afraid to fall in love and be heartbroken again (yay).

I have fully recovered from this skin problem, but as the days passed when something triggers like I am in the middle of a nerve-wracking situation, I notice I am beginning to feel itchy again on some of my skin parts specifically at the back of my hands and fingers.

To alleviate my situation, I have learned how to conquer stress in my way. I have found hobbies that kept me busy. And I have personally learned to deviate my mind if I am sensing I am stressing again.

How about you? How are you coping with stress?

Remember, most of your stress comes from the way you respond, not the way life is. Adjust your attitude and all that extra stress is gone. - Unknown Click To Tweet

I want to share with you the following ways where you could defeat the negative stress. You can do it, Sniffles, yes!

1.  Reading books that occupy your mind and keeping you from overthinking about your present problem.

2. Doing a hobby you especially love.

Specifically singing, sketching, drawing, gardening, biking, driving, swimming, and a lot more, are just some of the wide-ranging lists.

3. Listening to music which uplifts your spirits especially the one you loved listening to often.

Do you notice your mood lightens, you feel creative, and just plain-old happy?

4. How about going with your loved ones and family, eating out, maybe once in a while.

5. Reading inspirational and motivational quotes.

Take the time to post a reminder or uplifting, inspiring words in places you can see often, like on your desk in your office, on your bedroom door where you can easily read the moment you wake up each day.

Or you can have it on your mobile’s main screen, or better yet, set an alarm, or a time where you gotta read an inspiring thought each day.

6. Talking to a guidance counselor or a professional psychologist.

7. Traveling to other places you haven’t been to.

8. Write out on paper every time something bothers you.

Devote some time to jot down on your personal stress writing journal what makes you angry, what troubles you, or one that simply bothers you.

9. Having an adult coloring book is something popular nowadays as distressing hobbies for stressed people like us.

10. Eating a favorite food or desserts, like ice cream, yogurt, or chocolates.

Sweets do stimulate our minds to combat stress, especially dark chocolate. As they say, you should treat “stressed” with its antidote that is, “desserts”, which coincidentally is stressed spelled in reverse?!

This one’s my fave, you know, dark choco, as I have noticed I feel fully awake every time I eat this. One concern though is, don’t ever let yourself indulge excessively as you may suffer from diabetes my dear…whew!

11. Talking your heart out with your BFF.

It helps if you have someone to confide with your hopelessness in life, your failures, and pain, your setbacks. You are lucky if you have found a punching bag in your BFF…😂

12. Getting yourself a planner to organize your life and consult with.

If possible, a bullet journal, an Ultimate Life Binder, or simply a Gratitude Journal, or an art journal.  More on this in my coming blog posts sweetie, as we will create one together.

13. Learning how to meditate is the most basic of all in developing your personality mindset to combat stress.

There are several ways to do meditation.  Therefore, I am going to give you the best options I know sweetie.

Listening to music for relaxation like:

14. You should frequently browse the internet, especially through different social media to reequip yourself with the daily fuss of life.

Hence, you may soon find out, you will go nuts about it, especially if you meet new-found friends and like-minded individuals who may act as your accountability buddy.

15. Create a new relaxation time for yourself, as a sort of consolation.

Subsequently, you can treat yourself from time to time when you achieve something special. In addition, you can do a little bit of shopping for some new clothes and then dress up, show up and smile.

If you are sad, add more lipstick and attack. - Coco Chanel Click To Tweet

16. Learning to love yourself first and have ample time to take good care of yourself, too.

I bet you will gonna love to pamper yourself like having a foot spa, or simply take a bath with warm, flowing water and has the smell of some nice lavender or jasmine-scented candles, which can do wonders a lot.

Lavender and jasmine possess stress-reducing properties.

Taking care of yourself is the most important thing to do.  Otherwise, how can you give love to others when you, your precious self need it?

Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel. -Eleanor Brownn Click To Tweet

17. Guess what’s next on my list, sniffles? Yes, you guess it right, through exercise, of course.

You get to drive away those stress germs and will help you with depression, keeping you focused and stress-free all day. Physical fitness releases endorphins needed by our body to relieve stress.

Now is the time to include it in your daily routine.

18. Always take time to pray and talk to God daily.

Entrust to Him all your worries and pain, and learn to be grateful for all the blessings He bestows on you every day. Certainly, this is the most important of all, that is, being truthful to our one and only creator.

He heals the wounds of every shattered heart. -Psalm 147:3 Click To Tweet

Don't wait to pray until you need something. Pray and be thankful every day for your blessings. -Unknown Click To Tweet

19.  Declutter your environment and keep it a healthy one.

In this way, spotless home or an immaculate place at work will aid you in your personal growth. Moreover, steering clear of things, places, and of course, people that stress you will also give you an advantage.

Consider it this way, dear Soul, stress at home, stress at work, plus stress within you, leads you to anxiety and depression. Who knows this will make your spirits so low, and then, kaboom! What a messy, loser You!

20.  Ultimately, it helps to have a daily affirmation.

This, in turn, will remind you that you are unique and you are special, too.  To sum it all, someone or somebody out there will love you as you are, the way you do, the way you look.

You are a masterpiece, handpicked by GOD. You are LOVED because you are a person with EXTREME VALUE and SIGNIFICANCE. -Unknown Click To Tweet

Maybe, you have other ways wherein you can beat stress in simple, marvelous ways, that aren’t here on my list.  Will you share it with me, Sweetie, by typing your comments below? Or better yet, share this post with your friends by clicking the share buttons.  Remember, sharing is caring.

Timeless Collection Of The Best 101 Love Quotes Of All Time

By Josh Balerite Acol

best quotes of all time

Hey there, my sweet old soul! Want to have some of the best love quotes?  Before this love month ends, I am sharing with you my collection of the best love quotes of all time.

As you may have known, loving someone is the best feeling that can happen to each and every one of us. I know, I know, if you truly love someone, you get to be hurt too. But for me, it’s better to be hurt than not loving at all.

But through the years, I have proven to myself, if you don’t want to experience pain in your relationships, better to express your love in an unconditional way, that is called Agape.

Yes, my BFBF! That is the highest form of love. You don’t want anyone or anybody to give back the love you are giving. You just love someone with all your heart no matter what.  This kind of love is usually shown by mothers like me of course,(yay) and God Himself who gave His only Son to redeem us all from our sins.

Whether it’s love for your better half, love for your girlfriend or boyfriend, love for your friend, for your kids, God’s love, love for nature, love for yourself, and any other kind of love, a list of these timeless best love quotes will come in handy anytime.

You will notice that some are in colorful illustrations and some are only in text.  Guess why?

Because you see, although I love all of these best love quotes, I am more inspired by the ones I showed in graphics.

21 Proven Reasons Why Quotes Are Important In Our Life

By Josh Balerite Acol

reasons why quotes are important

How are you my dearest sniffles? You don’t look good today, I can sense it. Would you mind if I tell you something to cheer you up? Perhaps, you want to know the proven reasons why quotes are important in our daily life?

I just had a bad day today. What am I going to do? I am feeling so weary and tired, for all you know. I think I just wanna lay down and sleep.  All I want to do now is just relax and forget all those hell of crap at work. I wish I could unwind, ease-out, veg out, whatever.

Sounds familiar, my dear soul?  Could you relate to me, please?

Whenever I’m having a bad day, I just want something to perk me up. It could be an online mobile game, a book, a movie, food, or simply an inspiring quote.  However, quotes have been my favorite de-stressor.

You see, I am basically an introvert person, so I try everything I can to console myself, as I don’t wanna be a nuisance to anyone.

So when I am at my lowest, I look for a word or two, to brighten my day. And that is when I search for a quote to encourage me especially when I have to accomplish a task that is so hard for me to complete.

I have found out and gathered the following proven reasons why quotes are important:

  1.  Quotes are the cheapest and easiest way to enliven your day. As I have read from a post, “Inspirational quotes are important because they activate an emotional pulse point in our hearts and minds when we are in a distressing situation.”

It depends on how much you can benefit from it as to how much you can get from it.

reasons why quotes are important

  1.  They are the fastest way to uplift you when you are distressed. It is accessible, free, and anytime you can have it.

Just look for it anywhere–from your favorite social media apps,  be it from

And there you are!  Your day starts to clear up.

  1.  The lessons and knowledge of one’s life story can be put up in one short quote.

Consider this my sweet bod, my best-loved motivational quote with my Nanay (Filipino word for a Mom) is,

“In oneself lies the whole world,  and if you know how to look and learn, the door is there and the key is in your hand.  Nobody on earth can give you either that key or the door to open except yourself.”   J.  Krishnamurti

Every time I read this quote,  I can vividly remember my mom, a competent English professor, who is my prime inspiration to become a blogger.

  1.  They can confirm your belief in something you want to achieve.

Whether you are in doubt or simply overwhelmed about choosing a career,  a simple quote can bring you to heights and inspire you to go for your ardent dream.

  1.  They can transform your present sad state into a joyful one in a moment.

  6. Quotes are important because they act as a daily mantra to guide you.

Take this one,  my dearest Soul.

“Life is a one time offer.  Use it well.”

  1.  If you have your own famous favorite author or writer, you can spread his words through his quotes.

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. -Plato Click To Tweet

reasons why quotes are important

  1.  As a blogger/writer, quotes are important because they can explain better your posts as a sort of an opening or a closing line.

For instance, you may check this opening quote from my post,  “20 Ways That Will Make You Happy.”

ways to make you happy

  1.   You can make it a part of your daily goals to be consistent, a mindset that is.

reasons why quotes are important

  1.  It is the summary of your mission in life.

reasons why quotes are important

  1.  Another reason why quotes are important is, it can be the testimony of one who is living a problem as you had before. I have written a post about this.

How to combat an ailment when you have no choice

  1.  They can be a form of communication to reach an endpoint with others.

If you are having a hard time working on an end goal with your peers,  why not agree with a one-liner like this, “Get shit done.”

reasons why quotes are important

  1.  They are easy to remember and use daily in your life. I have personally picked a quote for this especially when I am at a loss as to what to tackle first.

“Do what matters most. “

  1.  They are your most important tools to motivate and inspire you.

Achieving one’s goal in life is never easy,  especially if you are like me, who in the first place, considers myself as a newbie in this blogging world. Nevertheless, I am always telling myself,  “You can’t please everyone, so do it for yourself.”

  1.  They are the easiest way to share when others, too, need something to cheer them up.

When my friends are so downtrodden, I share them this quote,

  1.  They can serve as your daily reminder lest you forget.

“Thoughts Become Words, Words Become Actions, Actions Become Who You Are.”

  1.  They can make you fully understand a topic better even when the ideas are from different authors.

  1.  They can serve as a sort of mind stimulant, as coffee is to your sleepy eyes, so quotes are to your slacking brain.

Whenever you share the goodness in your heart, you always end up winning, because LIFE IS AN ECHO, it gives back to you what you have given. Click To Tweet

  1.  When you are explaining a complex idea, they can simplify them.

  1.  It can boost creativity and imagination.

  1.  Above all, and one of the proven reasons why quotes are important is, as soon as you start to read one, you can’t stop doing it, and you crave for more.

“Reading changes everything”, from Mike Schmoker

The more you read, the more you learn,

The more you learn, the more you earn.”

For this does not literally mean earn money, but earn knowledge. Therefore, as long as you take it heartily, mindfully and spiritually, success comes easily.

In conclusion, a quote,  be it an inspirational, or a motivational one; can do a lot of wonders to your

  • broken heart,
  • your healing soul, and
  • your physical body suffering from the pain of illness

In addition to this, it can free your cluttered mind from dilemma and your beloved from agony and failures in life.

In short,  it is like a magic potion that can do wonders for your soul.

So, what else are you thinking? Go for it now, my dearest.

And, one more thing, may I ask a favor from you, please. Can you share this with others?

Can You Combat An Unexpected Illness? See Right Here

By Josh Balerite Acol

combat an illness

Have you ever tried to combat an illness, amidst an untimely situation? You’d better read this.

I was then studying for my boards on my chosen Technology course. As I have decided to stay in a dorm while taking review classes, I had an unforgettable experience I would never ever forget.

I am engrossing myself in my last week of review classes, and our boards are just a week away.

To my dismay, I suddenly got ill!

I was having a high fever?! My body aches all over, from my arms to my lower extremities and particularly on my back. I am feeling cold and my head is damned so heavy. I asked myself, am I having the dreaded flu?

Oh no! This can’t be. I won’t let this engulf me, I am telling myself. How on earth this has happened? What about those weeks, months, years, I have spent studying and then reviewing for this course?

All my efforts should not be wasted. Nothing can stop me now.

I must combat this illness.

So desperate in getting well, and having no other means then, like, getting out and buying meds, or going home, I feel frantic and hopeless of recuperating quickly.

Furthermore, my budget is so tight, I could not definitely go home, I was telling myself. I could not let my parents know I am backing off, because I don’t want to frustrate them and my kins. How could I get rid of this unexpected sickness? What am I gonna do?

Just then, an idea suddenly surfaced. I remembered reading a book about self-hypnosis and the powers of the mind back then. Perhaps, I could try it. I have nothing to lose.  Just this fckng disease! God help me.

HYPNOSIS - It simply gives you a way of accessing what you've always had control over and never took the time to access or train. Freedom begins in the mind.-Grace Smith Click To Tweet

At that moment, covering my whole body with layers of thick blankets, was my instant and last choice.

While I was lying down, I began meditating telling my body and thoughts to relax slowly and then deeply.

I began breathing calmly, focusing more until I was going to an altered state of consciousness.

Thus, I started envisioning all the antibodies inside my rotten, sick body.

combat an illness

I was mentally programming my mind to communicate to them, getting them fully charged and began controlling them with a big, invisible remote control, telling them with all my might to attack any antigens they might encounter.

Of course, I was the only one who can hear my voice, intuitively.

I began ordering them to search, attack and destroy any aliens all throughout! Slowly, and going faster, like running on a treadmill, these words echoed to me.

Believe it or not, I am slowly feeling the war inside. I am having deep breaths and my body was wiggling and shaking, responding to each attack my antibodies make, while I am commanding them, “Aim, target, shoot and destroy!”

Like a mantra, I kept on shouting this injunction inside my head. And I can sense my body reacting so well.

All my immunoglobulins were doing like swirling, running, jumping and diving in all directions attacking, and destroying all toxins they can see. And I was kinda shaking, too! I don’t care what my roommate was thinking about me then.

All I am focusing on at that moment is to get rid of my illness. I firmly believe I will soon recover.

After an arduous ordeal,  for more than an hour or so,  my inner battle is slowly subsiding.

And I am taking long, long breaths as if I have been sprinting an entire 100 kilometer-marathon race.

It is just then I realize, my clothes are wet all over and my blanket, too. My hand reaches out to my forehead,  and I am wondering how it went to being light and refreshing.

Previously, I was having chills and fever. But this time, everything around me is hot,  and I am perspiring.

Yes, it is gone now!

Ways That Will Make You Happy

ways that will make you happy

ways to make you happy

Ways that will make you happy? Are your thoughts constantly bogged by this?

How about writing them all and then finding yourself smiling alone?

Much more so when that smile of yours becomes bursts of crisp laughter echoing throughout your room?

It isn't what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it. -Dale Carnegie Click To Tweet

Uh uh, I know what you are thinking. Others may suspect you for something, or someone weird when they find out what you are doing.

But, honestly, each of us has a certain moment in our lives where we prefer to be alone, away from the stressful life we encounter every day from the various skittering, hullabaloos, noise, and traffic.

Don’t deny it, dear soul. There comes a time when it feels better to be alone and find our old self. (yay!) I don’t mean your aging self…lol.

What I mean to say is your simple old self, your childish alter ego, where you just eat, play, and sleep, go to school, do your tasks and go home, eat, play and sleep again, without the daunting adult tasks you are supposed to do every day.

Or shall I say just think about what your ideal day is? I will give you a moment to imagine about it, while I tell you about mine.

Mine is basking on the sand, strolling in the wee hours of the day solely of course when nobody is awake yet.

Moreover, to make my day happy, I prefer brisk walking around and inhaling the healthy salty mist of the sea, (which by the way, as studies show, improves our immune system, and enhances the overall health of every cell and organ of our body) while the sun is slowly dawning, on the golden horizon.

ways that will make you happy

O m g! I feel so tranquil, calm and cool, just vegging out without worrying about anything.

After a while, I would sit down near the edge of the beach, drinking my favorite smoothie or coffee, allowing nature to fill up my senses, to empower my mind for creativity. (oh wow! I can feel it now).

That would be the best time for me to write and express myself. While the gentle sound of the waves of the sea, is my background music, I can linger on the vast emptiness of my mind, feeling the enormous magnet of nature, filling each empty brain loops, and inspiring my heart to pour my mixed feelings of joy and satisfaction.

Well, well, well, I’m almost carried away by my vivid imagination. It’s time for you to share the ways that will make your day happy.

How about you cherished Soul?  What is your preferred ideal day? Can you tell me some of the things that make you glad that are not on the following list? Or better yet can you please relate to me what is your envisioned gleeful, winsome day?

1.  Reading an inspirational quote. This makes you refreshed and revitalized. One of the most important benefits you can get here is having to choose a one-liner quote, that will be a sort of your daily or weekly mantra or positive affirmations. Mine, for now, is, “Get shit done”. Here you can check out these 100 affirmations to lift up your dislodged self.

2. Looking at some old pictures with your family.  Isn’t it wholesome and pleasant- feeling when you are able to connect yourself with your past memories especially happy childhood memoirs by looking at your loving family’s old photographs? I have done it myself. Try it!

3. Spending a moment with your BFF strolling and brisk walking. This way you can catch up with the best buddy of yours for lost bonding time and moreover, taking long walks or brisk walking is a healthy, fun way of doing physical fitness exercises for your lazy soul.

4. Listening to a Christmas song. I just don’t know about you dear Soul, but listening to Christmas songs makes me alive and inspires my day. After all, the -ber months has started. Remember, this is the last week of the month of October and we only have 6 or more weeks to go, and our most awaited time of the year comes. It pays to be well-rehearsed early for our yuletide carols this coming Holiday season. 😂I’ll bet this will make you happy, sweetie.

5. Cooking a fave meal and sharing and eating it with loved ones. You can’t describe fully the joyful expression of a loved one admiring your cooking skills, with your mouth-watering recipes, of course.

6. Doing your favorite skills like sketching and drawing. Mine’s sketching, painting, blogging, or lettering? How about you dear, old Soul? Is it knitting? Or adding a new one to your list. Maybe, you are passionately curious about acquiring something new like learning adobe illustrator or adobe sketch, web designing, or doing amazing DIY crafts. Then, by all means, you can have it. Learn by heart and whatever happens, do it, and you’re on the right track, Baby!

7. Singing your fave song. Without hesitation, sing it! Wear your, “I don’t care” attitude. And the world will sing with you.  Hell, yow!

8.  Reading posts from your favorite blogs. If your dream is to become a blogger like me, then start by engaging yourself with reading some remarkable blogs and studying and learning from it.  I have known and met, and still acquiring knowledge, from an awesomely badass blogger whom you can get and absorb so much more rewarding and productive tips! Check it out now.

You’ll never know dear, you are already beginning to create your own, and soon have your own side hustle. (thumbs up!)

9.  Doing Zumba with friends. Another kind of exercise fitness program created by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto “Beto” Perez during the 1990s.    It is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves.

Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — and resistance training.  What makes Zumba popular, is that you will feel more like you are in a dance party than in a workout. You gotta dance to the beat of salsa, flamenco, and meringue. You will achieve a great cardio workout, strengthen your core, melt your fats and improve your flexibility.

Moreover, studies show that doing Zumba in an hour burns up to 400-510 calories, much more so if you do it without fail three times a week.

ways that will make you happy

10.  Indulging yourself eating your fave black chocolate. Oh my! I can’t resist this one, because this is another fave of mine, eating dark chocolates. I have found out that research shows dark chocolate has real stress-relieving properties and health benefits. The higher the percentage of cocoa (70% above) the better. But do take it with moderation, please.  Just have a good read at this article and you better believe it.

ways that will make you happy

11.       Drinking coffee while browsing the internet. Another fave of mine, scrolling different social media accounts, make you forget what you are stressed at. You can even find helpful tips and advice if you are at a loss and nobody is around to help. Take this moment as a good example, my dear. You have accidentally landed on my site. Thank you so much for dropping by and I feel obliged to be of much help to you.

12.  Watching a great movie. One of the great benefits of watching a good movie is making you revitalize by disconnecting from your present turmoil, making you relax, having a good laugh and just simply enjoying it.

13.      Drinking and eating healthy. It pays to take good care of yourself first. If you want to feel good, do good and think good, eating a well-balanced diet makes it all a well done, stress less day. You’d better do it often.

ways that will make you happy

14.  Reading an amazing book is also a good form of personal entertainment. There are many important benefits of reading, but the number one on my list is, it helps ward off stress and depression, especially if you are reading a self-help book. Aside from improving your communication and vocabulary skills, sharpening your memory, enhancing your imagination, it can help boost your sleep, by making your mind peaceful and relaxed.

Here are some websites where you can download free ebooks:

15.     Traveling or Going on a vacation trip. Going to places you have never been to before improves your social and communication skills, broadens your horizons, gives you more educational experiences, peace of mind, self-confidence, lifetime memories, and aids you in getting to know yourself better.

16.  Helping somebody who needs your help especially when you made him or her day brighter, makes your heart jump with joy. For me, this surpasses all the other things on this list that makes one happy.

Nothing compares to the golden rule which is reflected in God’s teachings from the Bible. “So always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that is the meaning of the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 7:12).

On the other hand, Confucius, a famous Chinese philosopher, was also quoted, saying this 5 centuries before Christ. Studies revealed that this rule is also called the Ethic of reciprocity, but in some religions, it is treated differently.

ways that will make you happy

17.     Writing a letter to long lost kin or buddy in your own handwriting. Since we are now in a Computer Age, personal handwritten letters are uncommon but considered to be a unique gift to somebody whom you cherish much. It lessens your stress, shows off your unique handwriting and tells somebody they are special because you have set aside a portion of your precious time to let them know how you feel, without wanting to ask for a response.

As they say it, you do it to give, not to receive. You write because there’s something you need to say, not something you need to know.

ways that will make you happy

18.  Doing Meditation and Yoga. Another alternative form of exercise is these two. The well-acclaimed benefits of meditation are relieving stress and anxiety, strengthening your immune system, and keeping your mind sharp. While yoga is leveling up your endurance, flexibility, balance, and strength.

19.  Waking up early when all is still asleep and feeling you are in charge. Each day, make it routine to waking yourself up early. It is so hard at first if you are used to having late nights. But, try sleeping early, and of course, you will wake up early, too. Many successful entrepreneurs and writers have applied this technique, as you can accomplish more tasks when you start the day right by starting with the hardest and then to the one you love most doing.

20.  Accomplishing a task. Do you want to achieve something, but finding it hard to do so because of overwhelming or procrastination habits? Then, cheer up, sweet bod, because I have a favorite quote about this for you, to motivate you.

Discipline is doing what needs to be done, even if you don’t want to do it. -Unknown Click To Tweet

These are just some of the ways that will make you happy.  They are so fun and easy to do especially when you are feeling weary, sad and depressed.

To recap it all, making yourself happy and lightening up your day is your choice. Choose it, or else, ruin it. What do you think, sniffles? How about sharing these awesome tips? That will make others joyful too, definitely.

Who Cares Why I Started A Blog? Now Is The Time To Build One

by Josh Balerite Acol

why start a blog

Blogging… Blogger… Blog… Website… Blog posts… Have you any idea what do these words mean? Or simply put, do you have enough reasons why you should start a blog like the way I did?

When I first came up with them, honestly,  I had no exact notion of what they are and what do they certainly mean. But as time went on, I became so engrossed exploring about all of these mind-boggling coinages come what may and why are they building a blog of their own.

Unaware of what’s slowly building inside of me, I found myself reading captivating posts from an amazing website of a popular epic blogger then and why he decided to create a blog of his own.

And I was mesmerized by how it fascinated me and hooked me up digesting every word until the end.

Though its niche isn’t a fave of mine, I was magnetized by his story and the pictures he used to attract his readers.

It was then the beginning of why I was ardently dreaming of starting a blog of my own and becoming an extraordinary blogger of sorts. I wasn’t sure yet what kind of blogs I will create and how.

I became addicted to browsing the internet and following bloggers all around the web and every time I do meet one and read about him or her posts I was achingly hoping and wishing I could be one someday. Yes, I want to start a blog soon on my own, I kept telling myself.

Yes, I admit I am not an excellent writer, but I believe reading and writing constantly will soon hone my inert writing skills. Click To Tweet

(uh uh…I feel you are smiling secretly, dear soul)

Who else would encourage me more to do this than you?

And why are you staring through me intensely like that?

Are my reasons not enough why I should start my own blog?

  1. I know deep inside I have that power and skill to jump kick start a blog.
  2. Can you feel it in my blood slowly burning and circulating through my veins and vessels, and coming out of my epidermal skin surfaces?
  3. But I can sense it in my head oozing out through my cerebral hemispheres. (or is it true our minds have feelings?)
  4. I can hear it deep inside my heart passing through my hyperactive arteries, incomparable to the deepest emotion a lover can feel for its beloved. Because for me, it lies deep within my immortal soul. Click To Tweet
  5. It’s like a pack of specialized antibodies slowly multiplying inside my body ready to attack a bunch of loathsome antigens.
  6. And lo and behold! I feel like my blood is slowly going to a boil to ink down to write a word, nope, words, paragraphs, and posts, to give birth to a blog that would create a knowledge channel for its readers and visitors all… Click To Tweet            (O m g! Am I aspiring too much?!)
  7. I want to become a writer, even just not a popular one but being simply an honest to goodness blogger, to exhaust all of my ideas, my life’s adventures, my heart’s content and all that I can to be of use to someone else if not to everyone. And that is, specifically you, dearest Soul.
  8. I know I can generate a lot of ideas given enough time.
  9. I know I don’t have much knowledge about anything else in this world of disarray, but I do have an inkling of a certain topic or two that I can relate to my readers without batting an eyelash. (yay)
  10. I know I have my own special skills to teach you, dear soul. (or do I really have one?) Please don’t mention about cooking for you, I mean, specifically, fry some tasty edibles as you will find out soon am so afraid of some hot cooking oil splashing out from the pan, dare me.
  11. I admit I am not an extrovert but yes, I can be through writing. I do have a lot of life’s stories to tell about especially to you who’s eager to read and listen to me. These are life’s challenges that you can learn some valuable lessons, too.
  12. I can give you distinct tips and proven secret tips to be in love fully, and halfheartedly like being so in love but ending to be a heartbroken one. (ouch!)
  13. I do have some hobbies to share. Hobbies which for me are effective tools to enhance one’s life, and get some entertainment as we go on facing life’s difficulties in a world of stress, turmoil, and shabbiness.
  14. Yes, I can be a good listener, too. You can talk to me through emails. Or by giving earnest replies and comments on my blog posts.
  15. I can be your friend, not just a simple one but a BFBF, yes, I am your best friend blogger forever, that is, for life, dear Soul. Click To Tweet
  16. I can be your soulful encourager to guide you through your life’s ups and downs.

And these I would certainly do through sharing with you some motivational, inspiring and happy quotes about:

  • life
  • love
  • bravery
  • peace
  • happiness
  • hurdles
  • challenges
  • people
  • lovers
  • even about side hustles at that, for instance. In addition, we will have to discover more of those soon.

But wait, dear me, I sincerely tell you I am not an expert one.  However, together we can be if you just bear with me please as I go on my journey in emerging as one.

Above all, I thank you so much for dropping by and sharing your precious time with me, sweet, old soul.

Hey! Don’t be mad.

Old just plainly meant, an old friend, like a long lost old, old friend I do thrillingly intend to meet again. Yes, I really mean it. Click To Tweet
